Black Rhinos trans-located to Rwanda

Rwanda on 02-May-2017, marked another conservation milestone as 10 Eastern Black Rhinos were trans-located to Akagera National Park where they previously became extinct due to war and poaching. After the earlier successful translocation of lions, Akagera is now home to all of the African Big-5 i.e. lions, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo in addition to Hippos and Nile crocodiles in the numerous lakes, Eland, Zebra, Giraffe and other plains game, many species of birds as well as some of the most stunning scenery to be found anywhere in East Africa. what a wonderful day for Rwanda land of a thousand hills and the Big-7 counting the Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees.
