Namiri Plains Camp

Namiri Plains is an exclusive and intimate tented camp, located 1½hrs east of Seronera in Soit Le Motonyi or the “secret Serengeti”. For over 20 years, this unique area of Serengeti was blocked off as a cheetah conservation and breeding program. Today, the area has the highest density of cheetah in East Africa, along with large numbers of lion and leopard, allowing for excellent game viewing year round. Guest accommodation comprises 8 spacious and en-suite safari tents (includes 1 honeymoon tent & 1 family tent) tucked in a small fever tree forest overlooking the Serengeti plains north of the Gol Kopjes. Tent amenities include either 1x King size Beds or 2x Twin size Beds as well as an en-suite bathroom with flush loo as well as indoor and outdoor safari showers. Between November and May, the camp is a front row seat for the vast herds of the annual Migration as they pass through Soit Le Motonyi. Other camp amenities include a spacious mess tent, dining tent, game drives, walking safaris, bush breakfasts, picnics and bush dinners and an evening camp fire where guests retell tales of the day under an African starry night.
