Day 1 – ARRIVAL IN KAMPALA, UGANDA
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a SafariDMC representative and transferred into Kampala and check in at Cassia Lodge for overnight – balance of the day spent at leisure with meals on own account.

Day 2 – KAMPALA/MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Arise early and, after breakfast, drive north to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route, you will stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en-route you for a guided Rhino Tracking experience (2hrs) followed by lunch at the adjacent Amuka Lodge.
In the afternoon, you will continue into the park and cross the ferry over the River Nile to arrive at you lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Following breakfast, enjoy a morning game viewing drive in the borusses studded plains of Murchison Falls National Park, on the northern banks of the River Nile, in search of all manner of African plains wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, many species of antelopes as well as birds.

In the afternoon, enjoy a fantastic Launch Cruise on the Nile to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls where the mighty Nile squeezes her entire self through a narrow 7m cleft to fall 43m down in thunderous show of might and power; it is one of Uganda’s most incredible scenery. Thereafter, disembark and hike up to the Top of the Falls to marvel at the magnificent views over the falls itself and through the plains to the delta on Lake Albert.

Day 4 – MURCHISON FALLS/KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, exit the park and drive to Kibale Forest National Park (435kms/8½hrs). Todays will be a relative long but scenic drive, on murram via Masindi and Hoima towns, through Ugandan country side inhabited by several different tribes including the Banyoro and Toro. With picnic lunch en-route, or at a local restaurant in Hoima, you will arrive at your lodge late afternoon with time to relax and shower before dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, transfer to the Park Offices for a guided Chimpanzee Tracking excursion in search of the cheeky apes that at 98.8% are man’s socially and genetically closest relatives.
Chimpanzee Tracking is a unique and one of the most exciting ‘primate experience’s you will ever do. 

In the afternoon, you have the option of touring around the Bigodi Swamp, a community based conservation project popular for primates, birds and butterflies. Alternatively, join your guide on a sightseeing tour around the beautiful crater lakes.

Day 6 – KIBALE/QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After a leisurely breakfast enjoy a scenic drive parallel to the Rwenzoris fabled mountains of the moon to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge in time for lunch.
In the afternoon enjoy a game viewing drive in the kasenyi plains and look out for lions, Uganda kobs, large herds of buffalo and elephants and other plains game.

Day 7 – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Arise at dawn with coffee, tea and cookies and return to kasenyi plains for an early morning game drive in search of the early risers and other nocturnal animals like hyenas, genet cats, if lucky even leopard – early morning game drives are ideal for spotting overnight kills as well as fresh hunting before the sun gets too hot and animals recoil back under shade. The light at sunrise is also excellent for fantastic photography including sunrise and birds.

You will return to the lodge for late breakfast and time to relax and enjoy the lodge amenities before lunch.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a 2.5hrs Launch Cruise on the Kazinga Channel,  famous for near guaranteed sightings of schools of hippos, Nile Crocodiles, wallowing buffalo, elephants feeding on the banks of the canal, many species of water birds and so much more.
Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge – BLD

Day 8 – QUEEN ELIZABETH/BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, check out with picnic lunches and drive south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth’s Ishasha area that is famous for her black-maned tree climbing lions. With game viewing en-route and your picnic lunches in the bush, you exit the park early afternoon and continue to Bwindi, home of the rare yet critically endangered mountain gorillas.

You will arrive at your lodge early evening with time to relax and acclimatize for your tomorrow’s hiking activity before dinner and overnight

Day 9 – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
Arise at dawn for an early breakfast then transfer to the park offices for your Gorilla tracking excursion, one of the most genuinely breathtaking wildlife experiences ever.
At the park offices, participants are put into groups of 8, allocated a gorilla family to track as well as a specialist Gorilla Tracking Guide.
Then at 0730hrs: briefing by your guide then transfer to the trail head where the tracking begins.

Upon sighting the gorillas, participants are allowed to stay with them for one simply magical hour as they go about their daily life – so much like us; resting, feeding, mating, playing and raising their young. unforgettable.

But the hour is always over ‘too soon’ and then you will hike back to base where your driver guide will be waiting to transfer you back to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and lunch or relaxation then dinner depending on time of return.

If time allows, you may enjoy an evening community walk around the local area and possibly meet the Batwa pygmy people who eke a life around the forest.

Day 10 – BWINDI/LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After a leisurely breakfast say goodbye to Bwindi and the gorillas and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. You will arrive at Mantana Tented Camp in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a game viewing drive around Lake Mburo and look out for giraffes, elands, lions, hyenas, gnus, elephants and many other plains game that call Lake Mburo National Park home. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11 – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, enjoy a game viewing drive around Lake Mburo.
In the afternoon, a leisurely boat ride on the beautiful Lake Mburo awaits with opportunities to come close to hippos as well as see lots of water birds and the mammals that come to drink on the lake’s edge.

NB: optional at extra night:
A post dinner night game drive with a tracker and spotlight in hopes of seeing some of nocturnal species which are hard to find during the day; bush-babies, hyenas, civets and genet cats, hippos on foot, even the elusive leopard are most often seen.

Day 12 – LAKE MBURO/ENTEBBE
Arise early and join your Driver/guide with on a Nature/Bush Walk with a specialist park guide and armed ranger; get as close to nature as possible.

Return to lodge for late breakfast then check out and drive back to Kampala – with lunch en-route, proceed to Entebbe and check in at Boma Guest House.

Balance of the evening spent at leisure with dinner under own arrangements.
