How to get there:

Harare International Airport and Victoria Falls international Airport are the principal gateways into Zimbabwe. A number of international airlines provide regular flights into Zimbabwe including South African Airways, Rwandair, Kenya Airways and Ethiopian Airlines. Air Zimbabwe provides domestic interconnecting flights between the two cities which are over 900kms, by road, away from each other.

Health Requirements:

A yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is now mandatory for entrance into Zimbabwe. The CDC and WHO recommend vaccines for typhoid, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, cholera, rabies, and influenza. Zimbabwe is also located in a Malaria risk area. We recommend anti-Malarial prophylactics, use mosquito repellent and sleeping under a mosquito. Please speak to your physician on the recommended anti-Malarial prophylactics before departing for Zimbabwe.

VISA Requirements

Most persons require a Visa to enter Zimbabwe. Based on your passport, some nationalities do not require a Visa to enter Zimbabwe (Category A), others may get a Visa on arrival at any Zimbabwe port of entry upon paying the required Visa Fees (Category B) while others require to obtain a visa or visa permission in advance of travel and pay the due Visa Fees on arrival (Category C). For the specific requirements appertaining to your nationality/passport, check online at https://www.evisa.gov.zw/#/VisaRegime. The Zimbabwe visa regime is a bit strict and requires adherence. Advance Visas may be obtained from the Zimbabwe Embassy or High Commission nearest to you or applied for online at https://www.evisa.gov.zw/#/Accounts/Login?returnUrl=%2FApply%2FNew. eVisas normally take two working days but it may be longer and we recommend you apply at-least three weeks before arrival. Payment is normally done on arrival at the Zimbabwe port of entry. Further, many of our Zimbabwe tours include visits to the neighboring countries of Zambia and Botswana. If your tour includes crossing over into Zamabia, we recommend you request/apply for the special KAZAUniVisa sticker when you arrive at the Zimbabwe port of entry. The sticker allows you to enter Zimbabwe and Zambia multiple times at no extra charge and is a huge discount compred to individual visas. The KAZAUniVisa is currenly only available for Category-B nationalities i.e. those who are allowed to obtain a Visa on arrival/at a fee. It is not available for Category B countries’ nationals. IF your tour includes a day trip into Botswana, please see http://www.gov.bw/Ministries--Authorities/Ministries/Ministry-of-Labour--Home-Affairs-MLHA/Tools--Services/Services--Forms/Requirements-for-VISA-application/ for your nationalities’ specific visa requirements and apply accordingly in advance; a Botswana visa may take 7 to 14 working days to get.
